The Neurosurgery Spine Center is a medical clinic providing comprehensive
care to patients with painful spinal disorders.
Dr. J.B. Blankenship and his
staff strive to provide complete and
up-to-date treatment based on current scientific literature and continuing medical
education. Although surgery is a valuable tool for the physician
trained in care of the spine, it is only one tool. Dr.
Blankenship is board certified by the
American Board of Neurological Surgeons, the
American Board of Spine Surgeons and the
American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Blankenship is the only physician in Arkansas to hold board certifications from these three certifying boards. He is also certified by the
American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Blankenship is a member of the
North American Spine Society and a Fellow of the
American College of Spine Surgeons as well as the
American College of Surgeons.
For most clients at The Neurosurgery Spine Center a physical therapist is available for consultation and to assist Dr. Blankenship in planning a conservative treatment plan. When non-surgical treatment has failed, an appropriate surgical treatment plan is offered to the patient. Dr. Blankenship offers surgical procedures based on current accepted scientific thought not speculation and gimmicks. Dr. Blankenship is also committed to providing comprehensive information to allow the patient to make the best choice in their care.
